"Amanda is amazing to work with. She is very keen, professional and easy to talk to, not to mention her incredible talent!

Our logo was admired by many as the nicest and most unique of all the participating delegations! I would recommend Amanda in a heartbeat and am looking forward to working with her on other projects in the future."

JCC Maccabi Games and Artsfest is an organization that empowers teens in the Jewish community through arts workshops and friendly sports competitions. The event is held annually and includes teams from across Canada and the United States.

Alexa approached me to design a fun and impactful logo for her team who takes part in the Games and Artsfest. In her spare time, she volunteers for the Alberta delegation and was looking to update their logo to something more colourful and energetic to appeal to the kids. Her goal was to have a logo that the kids would love and that could be used for the event over the next few years.

  • Ensuring the design met all standards and guidelines set by the organization.
  • Creating a logo that satisfies teens from multiple cities. This meant no city-identifiable elements could be included.
  • Giving Alberta a strong visual image to stand out against teams from throughout North America.

Project details

Throughout the process I took influence and inspiration from the event, the team and our province.

I designed a primary logo and various other secondary logos that Alexa could get printed on various types of merchandise for the team.

The logo was first officially launched in August 2016. The Team Alberta kids loved their logo and were thrilled that their peers from across North America felt the same.
